Whether for a loving tribute or a family trip, I will work closely with you and help your ancestral past come to life. Choose one (or multiple) of the following services below:
Ancestral Destinations
Planning a trip to the old country but don’t know where to go? As an Accredited Genealogist, I can find locations in the United Kingdom and Ireland relevant to your ancestors. These include ancestral homes, property, churches, or other institutions affiliated with your family. You will get a full report, copies of historical documents, and maps of places to visit. If you wish to explore locations outside the U.K. and Ireland, I can provide a research consultation to point you in the right direction.
Ancestral Narrative
Ancestors are so much more than names and dates. With this service, I’ll turn your box of documents or online tree into an engaging narrative for your ancestor. The narrative can be for a single ancestor or for a family line; photographs (provided by the client) and images of historical records can also be included. To enrich the story, I will add historical context that will capture the grit and feel of your ancestor’s life in his or her community. The final product will be your choice of Word or .pdf format, giving you flexibility for how you want to use or publish your story.
Historical Research
Want a story about your ancestors but don’t know much about them? As a specialist in Irish, Scottish, English, and U.S. Immigration research, I can help fill in the gaps by researching your family tree. I know which historical records will add the most flavor and depth for your ancestor, and I’ll work to find the information that brings their story to life. You will receive a full report, research log, copies of historical documents, and pedigree charts. This service can be readily combined with the Destination or Ancestral Narrative services.
